U-20 WWC Qualifier: Falconets through to third round as Mauritius withdraw

Nigeria’s Falconets have booked a place in the third round of the qualifiers for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup following the withdrawal of their opponent, Mauritius.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced Mauritius’ withdrawal on their official X handle on Thursday night.
The Falconets were earlier scheduled to take on Mauritius next month.
Mauritius qualified for the second round of the qualifiers after earning a walk overwalkover against Chad.
The NFF on Wednesday announced the composition of a technical crew for the country’s U-20 side.
The Falconets made it to the quarter-finals at the last edition of the World Cup.
Two teams will represent Africa at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
