EPL: He’ll become top player – Glen Johnson on Chelsea forward
Former Chelsea defender, Glen Johnson has backed forward, Armando Broja to become a top player for the Blues.
Johnson said this while urging Chelsea to keep ‘calm and composed’ Broja amid rumours that Inter Milan are plotting a January move for him.
Broja, who came through Chelsea’s academy, recently took Nicolas Jackson’s spot in manager Mauricio Pochettino’s starting XI after the Senegal star’s suspension.
The Albania international has only just returned from a long injury and was handed a start against Fulham as he registered a goal in a 2-0 victory.
“I think he could potentially become a top player for Chelsea,” Johnson told Betfred.
“He’s got age on his side, he’s a very good technical player and he’s calm and composed in front of goal, which is something you need if you are going to be a striker for a top team.
“He’s yet to hit the heights, but he’s young and definitely worth having as an option for Chelsea and it’s better than them spending an awful lot of money on somebody else.”
